PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Robin B. Rothman is a civil litigation attorney, with over 25 years litigation experience currently co-managing our liability department. Her practice focuses on all aspects of third party insurance defense litigation, including general inury and property damage matter involvig both commercial and residential properties, motor vehicle accidents, uninsured motorist claims. Ms. Rothman also handles wrongful death matters and construction defects, liability coverage, insurer bad faith and other insurance-related claims.

Ms. Rothman received her J.D. from St John’s University School of Law in 1982. Before her relocation to Florida, Ms. Rothman’s practice was devoted exclusively to insurance defense litigation. She began her legal career while in law school as a law clerk and then associate attorney for Fardella & Feldman in Baldwin, New York. She handled her own caseload of plaintiff’s and defendant’s personal injury and property damage matters, including subrogation actions. She then handled the preparation and trial of defendant’s personal injury and medical malpractice suits for Montfort, Healy, McGuire and Salley in Mineola, New York.

After relocating to West Palm Beach, in 1992 Ms. Rothman was an associate attorney with Cherry & Spencer, P.A. and focused her practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on landlord/tenant litigation. She also practiced in diverse areas of law such as estate planning, real estate and commercial transactions until 1997 when she joined our firm. Ms. Rothman has been a partner with the firm since December 2006.

Ms. Rothman was admitted to The New York Bar in 1982 and The Florida Bar in 1987. She is a member of The Florida Bar, New York Bar, US District Court: Eastern District and Southern District of New York; Nothern U.S. District, Southern District and Middle Districts of Florida. She is also a member of DRI and its Insurance Law Committee, Palm Beach Couny Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the SOuth Florida CLaims Association.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Ms. Rothman served as a judge for local high school community debates and is a long time participant and fundraiser for Race for the Cure.
